The painting has been executed on a cradled panel which has been slightly thinned out. The support remains stable.
To the naked eye, no splits to the panel are visible. Some light restoration is visible in the darker part of the ledge. The glazes of the painting remain well preserved.
Retouching along the upper and lower borders are visible under ultraviolet examination, as well as some scattered retouching to the ledge and the backgrounds. Some cherries seem to have been retouched in a scattered way. Some retouching is also visible to the bowl. The painting is under an even surface, green layer of varnish. The painting can be hung in the current condition.
In a carved giltwood frame (approx. 41 x 49 cm.).
