The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau est peint sur une plaque de cuivre non parqueté. Le bord supéreur gauche est très légèrement replié. On constate un manque dans le bord supérieur gauche ainsi que dans le bord inférieur gauche et deux autres manques le long du bord inférieur.

A l'oeil nu, le tableau possède une jolie matière avec de belles couleurs.

A l'UV, on constate des retouches ponctuelles dans le ciel et la végétation. Certaines feuilles ont été remontées et probablement certains anciens manques ont été comblés. On constate aussi des retouches ponctuelles sur le sol. Sous un vernis vert épais uniforme dissimulant d'éventuelles campagnes de restauration antérieures.

The painting has been executed on an uncradled copper panel. The upper left edge is slightly folded. A loss is noticeable in the upper left edge as well as in the lower left edge. We can see two other losses along the lower edge.

To the naked eye, the paint layer remains well preserved, with nice colours.

Ultraviolet examination reveals scattered retouching to the sky and the vegetation. Some leaves have been strengthened and some old losses have probably been infilled. Scattered retouching is also noticeable to the ground. under a thick layer of green varnish which precludes a more in depth examination of previous restoration campaigns.
