Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage ancien. La toile gondole légèrement par endroits, notamment dans le coin supérieur gauche et le coin supérieur droit.

A l'oeil nu, on constate des retouches dans les bruns ayant légèrement viré.

A l'UV, le tableau est sous un vernis vert épais dissimulant d'éventuelles anciennes campagnes de restauration. On constate des restaurations récentes dans le ciel.

The painting has been subject to an ancient relining. The canvas has crinkled in some parts, notably in the upper left and right corners.

To the naked eye, we can see some discoloured retouching to the brown parts.

Ultraviolet examination reveals a thick and green layer of varnish which precludes a more in depth examination of ancient restoration campaigns. Some recent restoration to the sky is noticeable.

In a 19th century giltwood molded frame (approx. 66 x 79 cm.).
