Le tableau est peint sur un panneau de chêne parqueté. On constate des fentes verticales au panneau. Le panneau est stable.
A l'oeil nu, on constate des retouches sur le fond noir, ainsi que le long des fentes. On constate aussi quelques retouches ayant viré dans les carnations. Les drapés et les angelots possèdent une jolie matière.
A l'UV, on constate les retouches le long des fentes précédemment mentionnées. On constate des retouches ponctuelles récentes dans les carnations. Les figures sont sous un vernis ancien, uniforme, jaune.
Dans un cadre moderne de style italien avec motifs floraux (approx. 105 x 85 cm.).

The painting has been executed on an oak panel which is cradled. vertical splits are noticeable. The panel is stable.
To the naked eye, retouching to the back backgrounds is noticeable, as well as along the splits. Some discoloured retouching can be seen in the flesh. The drapery and angels remain well preserved.
Ultraviolet examination reveals the afore mentioned retouching to the splits, as well as recent scattered retouching to the flesh. The figures are under an ancient, even surface layer of yellowish varnish.
In an Italian style frame with floral motifs, modern work (approx. 105 x 85 cm.).
