The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau est peint sur un panneau de chêne renforcé par des taquets à trois endroits et des pièces de toile sur ses fragilités. Le panneau est aujourd'hui stable, légèrement convexe.

A l'oeil nu, on constate des manques le long des fentes ainsi que des retouches le long des fentes ayant viré. On constate aussi des retouches dans le personnage de Nicodème et le paysage. Quelques figures sont bien préservées avec du dessin sous-jacent visible par endroits.

A l'UV, on constate les retouches susmentionnées. Le tableau est sous un vernis vert ancien avec des traces de vernis plus ancien le long des bords et dans les cheveux de Jean.

Dans un cadre en bois mouluré doré cintré en trilobe dans sa partie supérieure (approx. 103 x 69 cm.).

The painting has been executed on an oak panel which has been reinforced on three places with wooden and canvas pieces. The panel is stable, slightly convex.

To the naked eye, we can see losses along the splits and discoloured retouching along the splits. Restoration is also noticeable to the figure of Nicodemus and the landscape. Some figures are well preserved with some preparatory drawing noticeable in some parts.

Ultraviolet examination reveals the afore mentioned restoration. The painting is under a layer of ancient, green varnish with some old varnish marks along the edges and in John's hair.

In a giltwood molded frame, trilobal in the upper part (approx. 103 x 69 cm.).
