Le tableau se présente dans un bon état général de conservation.

Il a fait l’objet d’un rentoilage réalisé dans la première moitié du XXe siècle qui a été correctement réalisé.

Le tableau est sous un vernis jaune assez sale. Le tableau conserve quelques empâtements au niveau de certains drapés. On constate les marques d’un ancien châssis dans les coins supérieurs gauche et droit.

A l’UV, on constate des retouches dans le coin inférieur droit ainsi que des retouches ponctuelles dans les nuages de la partie basse. On constate également des retouches très ponctuelles au niveau du bras gauche de la muse tenant un tambourin. On constate des retouches très ponctuelles pour rehausser les visages des personnages en bas à droite. On constate également des retouches très ponctuelles dans le temple à droite. Sous un vernis vert uniforme.

Dans un cadre en bois et stuc doré de style XVIIIe français (approx. 80 x 94 cm.).

Overall, the painting is in a good state of conservation.

The picture was subject to a relining in the first half of the 20th century, which was thoroughly done.

It is under a yellowed varnish which carries some dirt. The impasto of the draperies has been well preserved. There are some marks in the upper corners which were left by an old stretcher.

Under UV light, we can see some retouching in the lower right corner as well as scattered restorations in the clouds of the lower section. There is some very marginal retouching in the left arm of the muse holding the tambourine as well as to strengthen the faces of the figures in the lower right. We can see some minor retouching in the temple on the right. It is under a uniform green varnish.

It is in a wooden, gilt stucco frame, which is in a French 18th-century style (approx. 80 x 94 cm.).
