Le tableau est peint sur une toile marouflée sur carton.

A l’œil nu, le tableau est sous un vernis ayant chancis par endroits, donnant des zones un peu blanchâtres. On constate d’anciennes retouches dans les fonds.

A l’UV, on constate des retouches dans le fond rouge et dans les cheveux de l’enfant. Le tableau est sous un vernis vert épais uniforme.

Dans un cadre doré, travail moderne, avec du velours sur les bords intérieurs (approx. 52 x 38 cm.).

The painting is painted on a canvas laid down on cardboard.

To the naked eye, the painting is under a coat of varnish has discoloured in some areas which therefore appear as whitish. We can see some old retouching to the grounds.

Ultraviolet examination reveals retouching to the red grounds and to the child's hair. The painting is under an even surface, thick, green coat of varnish.

In a giltwood frame, modern work, with velvet on the inner edges (approx. 52 x 38 cm.).
