The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau est peint sur un panneau aminci parqueté.
A l'oeil nu, le tableau possède de jolis glacis dans les groseilles, les fraises des bois et certains raisins mais a perdu en glacis dans certaines parties. On constate des restaurations dans les fonds. On constate une restauration le long d'une jointure de planche. On constate des restaurations ponctuelles dans les fonds. On constate un petit manque à gauche de la composition. Le vernis est mat à certains endroits dans les fonds, masquant un peu la lecture de certains éléments.
A l'UV, on constate des restaurations le long de la jointure précédemment mentionnée et quelques restaurations dans les fonds. Le tableau est sous un vernis vert épais uniforme camouflant les anciennes campagnes de restauration.
Dans un cadre en bois avec une cartouche 'F. van SCHOOTEN / ÉCOLE HOLLANDAISE 1590-1655' (approx. 70 x 100 cm.).

The painting has been executed on a thinned out panel which is cradled.
To the naked eye, we can see some nice glazes on the currants, wild strawberries and some grapes but some glazes have been lost in other areas. Some restoration to the grounds is noticeable. We can see a restoration along a plank joint. We can see some scattered restoration to the grounds. A small loss on the left-side of the composition can be seen. There is a matt coat of varnish in some areas, masking the readability of certain elements.
Ultraviolet examination reveals the aforementioned restoration along the joint and some restoration to the grounds. The painting is under an even surface thick coat of varnish which precludes a more in depth examination of previous restoration campaigns.
