Le tableau est peint sur un panneau d'une planche non parqueté biseauté.
A l'oeil nu, on constate une légère griffure dans le ciel, quelques salissures jaunes et brunes.
A l'UV, on constate un repeint dans la figure à genoux au centre ainsi qu'un léger repeint sur un des patineurs. Sous un vernis vert uniforme masquant d'éventuelles anciennes campagnes de restauration, notamment dans le ciel.
Dans un cadre en bois de style hollandais, travail moderne (52 x 67 cm.).

The painting is executed on a panel made of one plank which uncradled and beveled.
To the naked eye, we can see a small scratch in the sky, and some brownish and yellowish stains.
Ultraviolet examination reveals a repainted area in the kneeled figure in the centre as well as a light restoration to the skaters. Under an even surface, green varnish which precludes a more in depth examination of previous restoration campaigns, notably to the sky.
In a Dutch style, giltwood frame, modern work (52 x 67 cm.).
