Lot Essay

Anciennement attribué à Maurice Quentin de La Tour (1704-1788), ce pastel a été réattribué à Pierre Bernard par Neil Jeffares en 2011. Par tradition, le modèle représenté serait monsieur Gallois, peut-être Charles Jean Baptiste des Gallois de la Tour (1715-1802), intendant et premier président d'Aix, sachant que Pierre Bernard, qui se marie à Marseille en 1739, était aussi actif dans le sud de la France.
