The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Notre tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage à la cire un peu fort. Le tableau préserve néanmoins des jolies vibrations sur les clés, les carnations et la pilosité. Lors du rentoilage les parties inférieures et supérieures de la toile d'origine ont été repliées sur le revers, sur environ 6 cm. de chaque côté.

A l'oeil nu, on constate des restaurations, peut-être le long d'anciennes déchirures, dans les fonds.

A l'UV, on constate les restaurations précédemment mentionnées le long d'anciennes déchirures dans les fonds, sur le visage, dans le cou et dans une partie du costume (photos disponibles sur demande). On ne constate pas d'autres restaurations récentes hormis les restaurations liées aux déchirures mentionnées. Sous un vernis fin uniforme.

Dans un cadre en bois doré (approx. 94 x 78 cm.).

Our painting has been subject to a rather firm wax relining. The painting nevertheless preserves nice paint effects on the keys, skin tones and hair. During the relining process, the upper and lower parts of the original canvas were folded over on the reverse side, by about 6 cm. on each side.

To the naked eye, restoration to the backgrounds is noticeable, probably along ancient tears.

Ultraviolet examination reveals the afore mentioned restoration to the backgrounds along old tears, to the face, the neck and in some clothing parts (pictures available upon request). No recent restoration is noticeable apart from the restoration campaign linked to the afore mentioned tears. Under a think, even surface layer of varnish.

In a giltwood frame (approx. 94 x 78 cm.).
