The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Notre tableau est peint sur sa toile d'origine. Le tableau possède une jolie matière, vibrante dans les parties claires des architectures.

A l'oeil nu, on constate une restauration dans le pilastre à gauche de la composition. Les parties sombres ont perdu quelques glacis.

A l'UV, on constate la restauration précédemment mentionnée ainsi qu'une restauration plus large et plus débordante sur la colonne la plus au centre de la composition. On constate quelques retouches ponctuelles dans le ciel et dans les nuages. Les personnages sont plutôt bien préservés. Les architectures, dans l'ensemble, sont généralement bien préservées également. Sous un vernis fin, partiellement nettoyé avec quelques traces de vieux vernis.

Dans un cadre en bois noir et doré, italien (approx. 112 x 148 cm.).

The painting is unlined. The paint layer remains well preserved, especially in the light parts of the architectural elements.

To the naked eye, some restoration is noticeable to the pilaster on the left of the composition. The dark parts may have lost some glazes.

Ultraviolet examination reveals the aforementioned restoration as well as larger and more extensive restoration to the column in the center of the composition. We can see some scattered retouching to the sky and the clouds. The figures remain well preserved. The architecture elements are globally well preserved as well. Under a think layer of varnish which has been partially cleaned, with some old varnish marks.
