8 x 7 cm.).
English
The painting is executed on a copper plate stamped with the platemaker’s mark ‘GK’ to the center of the reverse. The plate has a very marginal convex bow but remains stable overall.
The painting presents very well in natural light. The delicacy of the composition is well preserved. In the upper lefthand corner, there are some very minor losses to the paint surface. Similarly one small loss can be seen in the centre of the upper edge, these are lightly due to frame abrasion. Two minor losses to the upper lefthand corner and two minor losses to the upper righthand corner have been infilled. There is some evidence of some scattered retouching in the pink and grey tones of the composition.
Examination under UV light confirms the above observations. Overall, the painting is in a good state of preservation. There is an even varnish.
The paint remains stable.
In a wooden and golden stucco frame (approx. 8 x 7 cm.).
