63 x 49 cm.).
English
The canvas is unlined and on its original stretcher. It is held under tension and remains stable. The canvas has the stamp of the canvas maker Delarue to the reverse.
In natural light the painting presents very well, with the paint surface well preserved in the plants, the waterfall and the water.
Examination under UV light reveals some scattered pin-head retouching in the sky, and some minor retouching in the waterfall in the lower left-hand corner. The brown areas of the composition carry a think varnish which prevent further examination. The paint remains stable.
In a carved giltwood and gilt stucco frame (approx. 63 x 49 cm.).
