Le tableau est peint sur un panneau composé de trois planches jointes horizontalement. Le panneau est stable mais convexe. On constate deux traverses de support au revers, correspondant aux jointures de planches. A ces endroits, on constate aussi des éléments de toile. Les traverses sont clouées sur le support arrière.

A l'oeil nu, on constate des restaurations et retouches correspondant aux jointures de planches, ainsi que des retouches dans le fond, principalement dans la partie supérieure du tableau. On constate également des retouches ponctuelles dans les carnations et les costumes des modèles.

A l'UV, on constate les observations susmentionnées.

La matière reste stable.

The painting is executed on a panel made up of three horizontally joined boards. There are two wooden batons to the reverse that correspond with the panel joins. These are affixed to a backing board. The panel has a convex bow. The panel remains stable.

In natural light retouching and restoration can be seen corresponding with the panel joins. There is retouching in the background, notably to the upper portion of the composition. There is scattered retouching in the flesh tones and costumes of the sitters. The detailing of the costumes and strength of the composition remain fully appreciable.

Examination under UV light confirms the above. The paint remains stable.
