The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau est peint sur un panneau de bois composé d’au moins trois planches, renforcé par quatre traverses en bois horizontales. Le panneau a été aminci. Le support est stable.
On constate des cavités d’insectes xylophages aujourd’hui inactifs au revers du panneau, certaines ayant traversé du côté de la matière picturale.

A l’œil nu, on constate des restaurations anciennes le long des jointures de planches verticales. Le tableau est sale, très jaune. On constate quelques restaurations ayant viré dans le tombeau. Les éléments en or sont restaurés.

A l’UV, on constate les restaurations le long des jointures précédemment mentionnées ainsi que des restaurations ponctuelles ayant viré dans les fonds, correspondant peut-être aux cavités d’insectes xylophages. Sous un vernis uniforme un peu sale.

Dans un cadre en bois peint portant des inscriptions latines (approx. 88 x 82 cm.).

The painting is executed on panel made up of at least three boards, supported to the reverse by four horizontally applied batons. The panel has been thinned overall. There is some evidence of historic woodworm, this is not active. A couple of their holes can be seen to the recto of the painting. The panel remains stable.

In natural light restorations along the panel joins can be seen. Some historic retouching can be seen in the tomb that has discoloured over time. There appears to have been some restoration to the gold elements of the composition. The varnish has yellowed and carries some dirt.

Examination under UV light confirms the above observations. There is further scattered retouching to the background. The paint remains stable.

In a painted wooden frame that bears a Latin inscription (approx. 88 x 82 cm.).
