Le tableau est peint sur un panneau de bois tendre renforcé par des bandes de gaze au milieu.

A l'oeil nu, on constate des restaurations le long d'une jointure du panneau courant sur toute la hauteur. On constate des vieux repeints dans les fonds et le costume ayant viré. Ceux-ci alourdisent un peu la composition.

A l'UV, on constate les restaurations précédemment mentionnées dans le costume, le long de la jointure et dans les fonds principalement le long du bord droit. Sous un vernis vert épais, partiellement nettoyé, avec des traces de vieux vernis dans les fonds et sur certains éléments du costume (photos disponibles sur demande).

Dans un cadre de style XVIIe en bois (approx. 82 x 65 cm.).

The painting has been executed on a softwood panel which has been reinforced by strips of gauze in the middle.

To the naked eye, we can see some retouching along the joint running all the way up. Some ancient discoloured retouching to the backgrounds and the costume is noticeable. These make the composition a little heavier.

Ultraviolet examination reveals the afore mentioned restoration to the clothing, along the joint and to the backgrounds, mainly along the right edge. The painting is under a thick, green layer of varnish which has partially been cleaned, with marks of ancient varnish noticeable in the backgrounds and on some clothing elements (pictures available upon request).

In a 17th style giltwood frame (approx. 82 x 65 cm.).
