La toile a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage qui a pu aplatir la matière par endroits. Le support est stable.

A l'oeil nu, on constate un réseau de craquelures ayant été réintégrées, principalement dans les coins où l'on constate des restaurations comblant des manques, probablement associés au dit réseau de craquelures.

A l'UV, on constate des retouches le long des bords gauche et droit, probablement suite à des frottements du cadre. On constate également quelques retouches ponctuelles dans les costumes des figures au centre, ainsi que des retouches plus anciennes dans le feuillage à droite. Sous un vernis uniforme légèrement jaunâtre.

Dans un cadre en bois et stuc doré de style XVIIIe (approx. 113 x 113 cm.).

The canvas has been subject to relining it is held under tension and remains stable. The paint surface has been affected by the relining process in certain areas.

In natural light a network of craquelure can be seen with associated infill, this is especially notable in the corners of the composition.

Examination in UV light reveals retouching along the horizontal canvas edges, likely the result of former frame abrasions. There is some scattered retouching in the costume of the central figures. Some older retouching can be seen in the foliage to the right. There is a think, slightly yellowed varnish.

In a gilt carved and molded frame, in an 18th century style.
