Les tableaux sont peints sur des plaques de cuivre stables et parfaitement plates.

A l'oeil nu, l'ensemble préserve une belle lisibilité malgré des retouches ponctuelles dans les fonds et les costumes des sibylles. Suite à une ancienne campagne de nettoyage, certaines parties plus fines, telles que le voile de la sibylle n°7, ont perdu certaines effets de matière.

A la lumière rasante, certaines sibylles préservent de beaux empâtements, telles que la n°3, alors que d'autres ont fait l'objet davantage de restauration, telles que la n°12 où on constate des pertes dans les parties sombres du costume.

A l'UV, on constate les restaurations susmentionnées. Les tableaux sont sous un vernis fin, partiellement nettoyé.

Dans des cadres en bois doré (approx. 28 x 21 cm.).

The paintings are executed copper supports, in each case this remains stable and flat.

In natural light the modeling of the figures remains fully appreciable, despite some minor scattered retouching to the backgrounds and costumes. Following an historic cleaning campaign there has been a slight thinning to some of the more translucent upper paint glazes, such as in the veil of sibyl no. 7. In a raking light, some nice areas of impasto can still be seen, such as in sibyl no. 3. In certain others, such as no. 12, there has been some thinning to the darker areas of the costumes.

Examination under UV light confirms the aforementioned observations. Each painting has a thin varnish that has been partially cleaned in areas.
