The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage.

A l'oeil nu, on constate des traces de frottement du cadre le long des quatre bords. Le long du bord supérieure, on constate quelques manques n'empêchant pas la lisibilité de l'oeuvre. On constate des retouches dans les bruns. Le vernis semble avoir viré dans certains fonds. On constate également des retouches ponctuelles dans les carnations et les costumes des figures. Les couleurs restent très fraîches.

A l'UV, on constate les restaurations susmentionnées. Sous un vernis partiellement nettoyé.

Dans un cadre en bois et stuc dorés (approx. 168 x 120 x 10 cm.).

The canvas has been subject to relining.

In natural light some frame abrasion can be seen to the canvas edges, with some minor associated losses to the upper edge. These are not visible when framed. There has been some retouching in the brown tones, and some scattered retouching in the flesh tones and costumes of the figures. The varnish has bloomed slightly some minor areas. The colours of the composition and the vivacity of execution remain fully appreciable.

In a giltwood and golden stucco frame (approx. 168 x 120 x 10 cm.).

Examination under UV light confirms these observations. The varnish has been partially cleaned in areas.
