English
Each of the canvases has been subject to relining, they are held under correct tension on keyed stretchers and remain stable. In natural light, a fine network of craquelure can be seen on each of the compositions. The craquelure in Taking a Fence and Full Cry has been subject to infill in the past, which has discoloured with age. The same is true of the other two paintings however to a much more minor degree. Examination under UV light confirms the above observation. It further reveals more extensive infill to the craquelure in Full Cry and Gone Away. There is some further retouching to the sky in Gone Away. Otherwise, there is some very minor scattered retouching to the compositions, which are each under an even and slightly yellowed varnish. In giltwood frames (approx. 43 x 52 x 5 cm).
