Sur piètement rectangulaire ajouré d’enroulements, bordure perlée et grotesques, appliqué sur le devant d’armoiries au coq, le fut formé d’un sphinx en cristal de roche chevauché par une sirène portant un binet en cristal de roche agrémenté de feuilles et pendants

Les armoiries sont celles de la famille Korzensky originaire de Tereschau en République Tchèque et qui s’est ensuite installée en Autriche.

A PAIR OF SILVER-GILT MOUNTED ROCK CRYSTAL CANDLESTICK, POSSIBLY AUSTRIA OR CZECH REPUBLIC, MID-19TH CENTURY
Each on openwork plinth resting on six scroll feet with grotesques motifs and applied on the front with a coat-of-arms for the Korzensky von Tereschau family, the stem formed of a rock crystal sphinx ridden by a mermaid holding in her mouth the socket fitted with foliate drip-pan enhanced with pearl shaped pendants

The arms are those of Korzensky from Tereschau in Czech Republic who later moved to Austria.
