Le tableau est peint sur un carton. Le support est stable, et renforcé au revers par des pièces de carton dans les quatre angles.

A l'oeil nu, le tableau est sous un vernis épais. On constate des petites restaurations dans les bruns au niveau du rocher à gauche.

A l'UV, on constate des restaurations ponctuelles dans certains bruns et dans le ciel, ainsi que le long des bords gauche et droit, probablement suite à des frottements du cadre. Sous un vernis uniforme récent.

Dans un cadre en bois et stuc dorés (approx. 53 x 60 cm.).

The painting is executed on artist’s, with four card supports to the corners to the reverse. The support is stable.

In natural light the painting presents very well, with the details of the composition well preserved. There are some minor retouchings in the browns beside the rock to the left. There is a thick varnish.

Examination under UV light reveals some scattered retouching in the browns and in the sky. There is some retouching along the left and right-hand edges of the composition, likely due to historic frame abrasion. The paint remains stable.

In a carved giltwood and gilt stucco frame (approx. 53 x 60 cm.).
