The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The picture is painted on a panel, composed of three vertical boards. Viewed from the reverse, the panel is beveled along the top edge and reinforced with three horizontal braces.
Viewed from the pictorial side, one of the board joints is slightly disjointed, this can be seen running the length of the composition. We can also see the beginning of a opening associated with the other joint, in the lower half of the composition. There are also the beginnings of other vertical cracks extending in vertically from the upper edge, and one starting from the lower edge. The whole should be stabilized.
In natural light, we can see losses associated with the aforementioned cracks, as well as in the upper right-hand corner and along all four edges. There is some old, scattered retouching that has faded with age on the figures and in the background.
UV examination reveals at least two restoration campaigns. The above-mentioned observations can be seen, as well as some further restoration associated with the aforementioned cracks and panel joins. There is a more extensive areas of retouching in the left-hand side of the composition. The painting is under an opaque varnish, making it impossible to distinguish other restoration campaigns.
Unframed.
