La peinture est exécutée sur un panneau de chêne, composé de trois planches jointes verticalement. Le panneau est biseauté le long des bords, l'ensemble reste stable.
À la lumière naturelle, le tableau présente bien dans l'ensemble, la profondeur des couleurs de la composition étant tout à fait appréciable. Le tableau semble avoir été reverni relativement récemment.
L'examen sous lumière UV révèle des repeints importants dans les fonds, notamment dans la niche derrière le grand verre, le long du côté droit de la composition, dans le drapé et dans la table. Certains détails de la composition ont été renforcés, notamment les contours des détails du roemer et autour des raisins. D'autres retouches ponctuelles ont été effectuées. Le grand verre a également été renforcé, tant au niveau des contours que de l'objet lui-même. Le vernis susmentionné empêche un examen plus approfondi de la peinture. L'ensmeble reste stable.

The painting is executed on oak panel, made up of three vertically joined boards. The panel is bevelled to the edges, the whole remains stable.
In natural light, the painting presents well overall with the depth of colour in the composition fully appreciable. The painting appears to have been re-vanished relatively recently.
Examination under the UV light reveals some significant repainting to the backgrounds, most notably in the niche behind the tall glass, and along the right hand side of the composition, in the draped cloth, and in the table. There is further strengthening to some of the details of the composition such as the outlines of the details of the roemer, and around the grapes. There is some further scattered retouching. The tall glass has also been strengthened both to the outline and in the main body of the object. The aforementioned varnish precludes a more in-depth examination of the painting. The whole remains stable.
