Le tableau est sur sa toile d'origine. On constate deux restaurations de la toile au revers (en haut à droite et en bas sous le châssis au centre). Le tableau est sur un châssis à clefs.

Le tableau possède une jolie matière avec de riches empâtements. On constate un réseau de craquelures légèrement prononcé au niveau de la bouche et du menton du modèle. On constate également quelques traces de frottement le long du bord supérieur.

A l'UV, on constate une retouche récente au niveau de la bouche et une retouche plus ancienne, plus débordante correspondant à l'autre déchirure visible au revers de la toile.
Sous un vernis fluorescent, uniforme.

The painting is on its original canvas. There are two restorations to the canvas on the reverse (top right and bottom centre under the stretcher). The painting is on a stretcher with keys.

The painting has a lovely texture with rich impasto. There is a slightly pronounced network of cracks around the model's mouth and chin. There is also some rubbing along the top edge.

Under UV light, there is a recent retouch to the mouth and an older, more protruding retouch corresponding to the other tear visible on the reverse of the canvas.
