» (New York, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, inv. 51.501.4929).

A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
There are the inevitable minor chips and surface scratches consistent with age and handling. Some discolorations and inclusions inherent with the stone. Some rubbed areas to the high points. The stick is restored between the proper right hand and the mouth. The panel was possibly previously part of architecture or framed : a line / border is visible on the right, left and lower part of the panel.
