Double-page engraved double-hemispheric world map in 2 sheets joined, engraved by H. van Loon, including California as an island, numerous spandrel vignettes and engraved text, with natural phenomena in the corners showing volcanoes, hurricanes and thunder storms, astronomical data along the top including Cassini's view of the moon, lunar and solar eclipses, the competing visions of terra- and heliocentric solar systems, all finely coloured, probably by a later hand, 458 x 683mm.
