TEESDALE, Henry (fl.1828-1843). A New Chart of the World on Mercator's Projection with the tracks of the most celebrated & recent navigators. Engraved by John Dower, Pentonville. London: Henry Teesdale, 1839.

Large hand-coloured engraved world wall map laid down on linen, black silk ribbon border, attached to a contemporary roller with ratchet mechanism and original release pull, the map terminating in a 180mm strip of light-green paper and wooden batten with metal pull-ring, 1280 x 1900mm. The map contained in a contemporary semi-circular reeded mahogany and oak case (extremities rubbed)
