Finely engraved, the sheet was obviously creased during the original production, so there is a slight printing mis-registration along the centrefold in the top portion of the map. The map was at one time folded, but the creasefolds are only obvious on the reverse, with the exception of a very small repaired holes at creasefold junctions in the seas of both hemispheres. There are two areas of light staining to verso that have been expertly repaired and reinforced, as has a small tear without loss to centrefold at top margin. There are insignificant tiny nicks and chips to margins, but overall this map is very good condition and a rare survival.
