Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Pencil on wove paper, with the watermark 'FRANCE - C - GRAIN CANSON' along the left edge. The left edge serrated consistent with stemming from the artist's sketch book. Minor discolouration to the sheet in places, predominantly at the left and lower edges, probably relating to the artist's use of fixative. Pinpoint fox marks, mainly to the right half of the composition. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
