The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Gouache, pastel, pencil, brush and India ink and wash and India ink on laid paper. Hinged to the mount in two places at the reverse sheet edges. Watermarked ‘MBM’. The upper sheet edge is deckled. A diagonal flattened fold at the lower left corner. Some creases at the two upper corners. One or two foxmarks. The pigments are strong and fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.

Gouache, pastel, graphite, encre de Chine et lavis d’encre de Chine sur papier vergé. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu au montage à deux endroits le long de l’extrémité du bord supérieur. Filigrané ‘MBM’. Le bord supérieur de la feuille est non-ébarbé. Une pliure aplatie diagonale au coin inférieur gauche. Quelques froissures aux coins supérieurs. Une ou deux piqûres. Les pigments sont vifs et frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en très bonne condition générale.
