The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Wash and India ink, gouache, brush and India ink and pencil on wove paper. Hinged to the mount in two places at the reverse sheet edges. Watermarked ‘ARCHES’. Some discoloration of the sheet mainly towards the sheet edges. The right sheet edge is deckled. Very few pale foxmarks in places. The pigments are strong and fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Lavis d’encre de Chine, gouache, encre de Chine et graphite sur papier vélin. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu au montage à deux endroits le long de l’extrémité du bord supérieur. Filigrané ‘ARCHES’. Quelques décolorations de la feuille, principalement sur les bords. Le bord droit de la feuille est non-ébarbé. Quelques très pâles piqûres par endroits. Les pigments sont vifs et frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en bonne condition générale.
