The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Tempera, pastel, wash and blue ink, wash and India ink, pen and India ink and pencil on wove paper. Hinged to the mount in two places at the reverse sheet edges. Some very pale discoloration of the paper. Two skillfully repaired verticals tears at the upper edge on the right (just outside the composition, the longest approx. 7 cm et the second one approx. 2 cm). The sheet undulates in places inherent to the artist’s water-based technique. The pigments are strong and fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Tempera, pastel, lavis d’encre bleue, lavis d’encre de Chine, plume et encre de Chine et graphite sur papier vélin. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu au montage à deux endroits le long de l’extrémité du bord supérieur. Très légère décoloration du papier. Deux déchirures verticales réparées avec soin sur le bord supérieur droit (juste en dehors de la composition, la plus longue environ 7 cm et la seconde environ 2 cm). La feuille ondule par endroits, inhérente à la technique à l’eau de l’artiste. Les pigments sont vifs et frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en bonne condition générale.
