The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Wash and tempera and pastel on tinted wove paper. Hinged to the mount in two places at the reverse sheet edges. Some pale discoloration of the sheet. Some soft handling marks in places. The sheet undulates slightly, inherent to the artist water-based technique. Pigments are strong throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
Lavis de tempera et pastel sur papier vélin teinté. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu au montage à deux endroits le long de l’extrémité du bord supérieur. Légère décoloration de la feuille. Quelques légères marques de manipulation par endroits. La feuille ondule légèrement, inhérente à la technique à l’eau de l’artiste. Les pigments sont vifs sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en bonne condition générale.
