The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Gouache, pastel, brush and India ink and pencil on wove paper. Hinged to the mount in two places at the reverse sheet edges. The remnants of two old hinges at the upper reverse sheet corners. Some pale discoloration of the sheet. The four artist tack-holes at the four corners. Some handling marks and associated soft creases, mainly towards the right sheet edge. A very few minute foxmarks in the lower right quadrant. One or two nicks at the right sheet edge. The pigments are strong and fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
