The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Pastel and brush and India ink on wove paper. Hinged to the mount in two places at the reverse sheet edges. The right sheet edge is slightly uneven. One or two minor nicks at the upper left corner. Some very pale discoloration of the sheet. A barely visible soft crease in the upper right quadrant. The pigments are very strong and very fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.

Pastel et encre de Chine sur papier vélin. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu au montage à deux endroits le long de l’extrémité du bord supérieur. Le bord droit de la feuille est légèrement irrégulier. Une ou deux encoches mineures dans le coin supérieur gauche. Très légère décoloration de la feuille. Une froissure à peine visible dans le quadrant supérieur droit. Les pigments sont très vifs et très frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en très bonne condition générale.
