The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Wash and India ink, pen and India ink and gouache on laid paper. Hinged to the mount in two places at the reverse sheet edges. The right edge is deckled and the three others are slightly uneven. The sheet undulates very slightly, mainly towards the extreme right edge. A few minor nicks in places at the left and lower sheet edges. The ink is very strong and fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.

Lavis d’encre de Chine, plume et encre de Chine et gouache sur papier vergé. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu au montage à deux endroits le long de l’extrémité du bord supérieur. Le bord droit est non-ébarbé et les trois autres sont légèrement irréguliers. La feuille ondule très légèrement, principalement vers l’extrémité du bord droit. Quelques encoches mineures par endroits aux bords gauche et inférieur de la feuille. L’encre est vive et fraîche sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en très bonne condition générale.
