The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Wash and India ink and pen and brush and India ink on thick wove paper. Hinged to the mount in two places at the reverse sheet edges. Watermarked ‘ARCHES’. The lower sheet edge is deckled. Some very pale discoloration of the sheet mainly along the extreme sheet edges. The pigments are strong and fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Lavis d’encre de Chine et encre de Chine sur papier vélin épais. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu au montage à deux endroits le long de l’extrémité du bord supérieur. Filigrané ‘ARCHES’. Le bord inférieur de la feuille est non-ébarbé. Quelques très légères décolorations de la feuille, principalement le long des bords extrêmes. Les pigments sont vifs et frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en bonne condition générale.
