The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Pen and brush and India ink and pencil on wove paper. Hinged to the mount in two places at the reverse sheet edges. Some discoloration of the sheet. The sheet stems from the artist’s sketchbook as visible from the serrated left sheet edge. A few very pale foxmarks in places. A few very soft handling marks towards the sheet edges. The pigments are strong and fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Encre de Chine et graphite sur papier vélin. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu au montage à deux endroits le long de l’extrémité du bord supérieur. Légère décoloration de la feuille. Le bord gauche est perforé ce qui correspond au fait que l'œuvre ait été retirée d'un carnet à dessins. Quelques très pâles piqûres par endroits. Quelques très légères marques de manipulation sur les bords de la feuille. Les pigments sont vifs et frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en bonne condition générale.
