En 2019, Hiroshi Sugimoto est invité par l’Opéra de Paris pour réaliser la scénographie et la mise en scène du ballet At the Hawk's Well, en collaboration avec le chorégraphe Alessio Silvestrin, collègue de William Forsythe. C’est à cette occasion qu’il photographie l’intérieur de l’opéra, poursuivant sa série 'Opera Houses' débutée en 1976.

In 2019, Hiroshi Sugimoto is invited by the Paris Opera to create the set design and staging of the ballet At the Hawk’s Well, in collaboration with choreographer Alessio Silvestrin, colleague of William Forsythe. It is on this occasion that he photographs the interior of the opera, continuing his 'Opera Houses' series started in 1976.
