The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Présence de marques de châssis à la périphérie de l’œuvre, uniquement visibles en lumière rasante. Présence des points d’accrétion par endroits sur la surface. Quelques très légères traces de frottement sont visibles par endroits le long des bords uniquement en lumière rasante. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

This work is sold without a frame. The work is not lined. The canvas is very slightly loose. There are stretcher marks to the periphery of the work, only visible under raking light. There are pinpoint accretions in places to the surface. A few minor rubbings are visible in places along the edges only under raking light. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
