The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

All elements appear to be present. The work is structurally sound. The surface is slightly dusty. The irregularities to the surface, such as the irregularities to the mirror’s edges, wood cracks, dents and scratches to the wooden parts, and the few glue residues in places to the surface, are inherent to the artist’s working method and chosen support. There are superficial scratches, accretions, minor rubbings, and handling marks in places to the surface. A few paint losses and chips are visible in places to the wooden parts. There are slight oxidation marks on the knife. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
