the complete set of two artist's books comprising 147 linocuts (five in red), on Rives paper, 1944 (a posthumous edition printed in 1981), number eighteen of 100 (there were also 25 hors-commerce examples), published by the Matisse Estate, New York, each with their 'HM' blindstamp, with title, text in french, justification and table of contents pages, each with blue linocut paper wrappers, in a cream-colored chemise and slipcase with the title in red on the cloth-covered spine
