Lot Essay

As Duke correctly points out the present pencil drawing relates to a larger pen and ink sketch in the Kunsthaus Zurich, Two Courtesans with Knife and Staff in Indistinct Performance, illustrated in P. Ganz, The Drawings of Henry Fuseli, London, 1949, pp. 42 and listed p. 79.
