Asia -- restoration and regilding to the top of her headdress and to the upright fronds, to both hands, her right arm and sceptre. Further restoration and overpainting to puce cloak at her right hip (approximately 6 cm. long along the edge) and a further patch of restoration and overpainting to the yellow skirt at her left hip (approximately 2 cm. long). There is a 2 cm. long section of chipping to the back hem of her puce cloak. Africa -- Restoration to headdress to one tusk and trunk. Her right arm restored, with some overpaint and clear lacquer extending to back of blue cloak. Further restoration to ends of wheat ears. Her right big toe restuck. Some small patches of retouching to enamels and gilding. Europe -- broken through neck and restored, with small sections of in filling to associated losses. Crown restored and regilt. Minor chip to edge of blue cape. Slight chipping to orb. Her right fingers broken and lacking and right thumb and scepter restored America -- Restorations to top of feathers to headdress, top of bow restored, her right big toe restored, edge of cornucopia possibly regilt.
Overall to all four figures, chipping, losses and restorations to applied leaves and flowers. Minor wear to gilding and enamels, occasional minute flake, chip or firing flaw throughout.
An XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) test was carried out by The Centre for Archaeological and Forensic Analysis at Cranfield University on Europe and America, confirming that the enamels on these objects are consistent with the published data for enamels on other Meissen porcelain dating to the 18th century.
