Barbara Uttman -- with restoration to her left fingers and spindles in left hand. Her right hand with restoration to tips of first three fingers and to whole little finger, as well as to spindle and yarn in her right hand. Broken through her waist at puce apron tie and restored. One gold tassel to cushion broken and lacking. Her left shoe restored. Dutch peasant -- clear lacquer covering the green cushion, which presumable is extended from restoration of the cushion tassels. Slight flaking to black enamels of toe of his left boot. Some restoration to applied leaves and flowers. Minute chipping to edge of base. Overall, some slight wear to enamels and occasional small flake, chip or surface abrasion.
An XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) test was carried out by The Centre for Archaeological and Forensic Analysis at Cranfield University, confirming that the enamels on the Dutch peasant are consistent with the published data for enamels on other Meissen porcelain dating from the 19th century.
