This group is recorded in Kändler's Taxa of 1765 and may have been inspired by Molière's comedy 'Le Docteur Amoureux'. There is a similar group illustrated in the Catalogue of the Collection of Dresden Porcelain, formed by S.B. Joel, Esq., to Gt.
