The shepherdess with crack to her nose. Her left forearm and hand broken and restored. The lover with hair ribbon chipped, small chip to fold of green cloak, and slight flaking to enamels at hem. Yellow hat brim with small overpaint to brim and chipping to ribbons. The peeping gentleman group covered in clear lacquer, concealing breaks and restorations.
Chipping, losses and restorations to applied leaves and flowers. Slight wear and occasional small flake to gilding and enamels. Occasional small firing flaw.

An XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) test was carried out by The Centre for Archaeological and Forensic Analysis at Cranfield University, confirming that the enamels on the section of the group with 'the listener' are consistent with the published data for enamels on other Meissen porcelain dating from the first half of the 18th century.. The enamels on the lovers section are consistent with enamels on other Meissen porcelain dating from the 19th century.
