The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
-Overall condition: fair to good. Shows normal signs of wear commensurate with age including minor to moderate abrasions and discoloration to the metal throughout. One cufflink head with moderate indentations and break in the gold at reverse.
-Additional marks: (shirt studs) 585, two abraded marks.
-Mother-of pearl: with typical inclusions and minor variations on nacre. One cufflink head with a chip extending across the plaque.
-Sapphires: with typical inclusions, minor surface abrasions to facet junctions throughout.
-Diamonds: of decorative quality.
-Enamel: of overall good quality. With minor areas of loss including abrasions and chips throughout.
